Service 01

Mold Testing

Before you can solve a mold problem, you need to know what you're dealing with. Our certified inspectors use proven testing methods to give you a clear, lab-verified picture of your home's air quality and surface conditions.

When should you get tested?

  • You've spotted discoloration on walls, ceilings, or floors
  • There's a musty odor you can't trace to a source
  • You're buying or selling a home and want documentation
  • Someone in your household has unexplained respiratory symptoms
  • Your home has had recent water damage or flooding

You receive a full written report with lab results, photos, and our honest assessment — no upselling, no scare tactics.

Air quality testing equipment

How we test

Air sampling

We collect air samples from multiple areas of your home and send them to a certified third-party lab. Results identify mold spore types and concentrations.

Surface sampling

Tape lifts and swab samples from visible growth areas confirm the species present and help determine the appropriate remediation approach.

Moisture mapping

Using thermal imaging and moisture meters, we locate hidden moisture sources — the root cause of most mold problems.

Service 02

Mold Remediation

Remediation is the comprehensive process of safely removing mold, treating affected materials, and addressing the conditions that allowed mold to grow. We follow IICRC S520 standards — the industry benchmark for professional mold remediation.

Mold remediation containment setup

Our remediation process

01

Containment

We seal off affected areas with negative air pressure and plastic barriers to prevent cross-contamination to clean areas of your home.

02

HEPA filtration

Industrial air scrubbers with HEPA filters run continuously throughout the project, capturing airborne spores before they can spread.

03

Removal

Contaminated porous materials (drywall, insulation, wood) are carefully removed, bagged, and disposed of per regulatory guidelines.

04

Treatment

Remaining structural surfaces are cleaned, treated with EPA-registered antimicrobials, and dried to prevent regrowth.

05

Clearance testing

Post-remediation air testing confirms the work is complete and your space meets safe air quality standards before we leave.

Puritek is a private-pay service. We do not work with insurance companies or process insurance claims — all services are billed directly to the client.

Service 03

Mold Removal

For surface-level mold on non-porous materials — tile grout, glass, metal, sealed concrete — professional removal is often the right solution. Our team cleans, treats, and verifies the affected surfaces without the full remediation protocol.

When removal is the right choice

  • Mold is limited to hard, non-porous surfaces
  • The affected area is less than 10 square feet
  • There is no evidence of hidden growth behind walls or under flooring
  • The moisture source has already been identified and corrected

Not sure which service you need? We'll tell you honestly after the inspection — even if that means a simpler (and less expensive) solution.
